If you're not aware, the bee (yes, the little buzzing insect) population is declining, and that has worse repercussions than you may realize. But, the folks at Cheerios are doing something unique to help fight for the bees.

Cheerios has teamed up with Vesey's Seeds to make sure that bees have a habitat that they can flourish in. Right now, if you go to the Cheerios website, you can have wildflower seeds mailed to you. The thought behind it is that if you plant the seeds, they will grow and create a "bee-friendly habitat".

By 2020, the oat farms that are responsible for Cheerios being on shelves claim that they'll have about 3,300 wildflowers that are full of nutrients to keep bees (and other pollinators) strong.

On the website, there are also some really cool facts about bees, along with some pretty alarming facts about what's happening to the bee population right here in our backyard.

Not sure about how to plant the seeds once you've gotten them? Not a problem! They've even provided some planting tips right on the website for you!

I'm not going to lie, I came across this story on Facebook, and didn't think much about it, but once I went to the website and started reading up on it, I think it's actually a really awesome idea.
