It's the photo they waited 30 years to take (click to enlarge). Chris Bray and his father attended the first space shuttle launch back in 1981 -- and the last, just a few weeks ago. Bray posted a link to the photo on Reddit on Monday and the reaction was immediate -- almost 600 comments have been left thus far, and various media outlets have picked up the story.

The space shuttle Endeavour launched right on schedule Monday morning, making its final flight into space, to deliver a key piece of scientific equipment to the International Space Station. Shortly before liftoff Endeavour’s commander Mark Kelly, whose wife Gabrielle Giffords watched the launch at Kennedy Space Center, said the flight represented the best of America and humanity.
