US 59 Still Impacted Today By Fatal Accident

One person died Monday in an accident on US 59 involving two 18-Wheelers and a school bus.

The road was still closed Tuesday morning because of the cleanup and investigation, and detours were set up.

The Lufkin School District says three children and the driver were the only ones on board the bus at the time, and none of them needed treatment for anything other than minor injuries.

Lufkin Police Use Facebook to Catch a Criminal

Be careful what you post on Facebook.  Anyone can see it, including police.

Ja'Bryant Davis is accused of breaking into Screen Geeks off of John Redditt Drive in Lufkin on September 5th and stealing phones.

Then later, Lufkin police noticed on his Facebook page that he asked if anyone wanted a phone.

Bad Accident Delayed Traffic Thursday on US 59

If you were stuck in the traffic yesterday on US 59, we don't have to tell you the backup was a pain for drivers nearly all day.

Two semi trucks collided on US 59 near Corrigan Thursday morning, and impacted traffic from around 9am all the way until 5pm.

Two Jacksonville police officers were honored recently for doing exactly that June 15th. The structure was fulling engulfed when police and fire officials arrived, but the officers rushed in once they learned there were still people inside.  And they got them out!
