A tip this week led police to a Lufkin man's garage, where they found big tanks and barrels and other alcohol-making equipment, and around 200 gallons of "moonshine" was seized. The man says he had been planning a commercial distillery for downtown Lufkin for about two years, and was still working to get the proper permits.
