			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.weiner.house.gov/">Rep.  Anthony Weiner</a> resigned from office Thursday, apologizing for the “damage” he caused after it was revealed that he had engaged in explicit internet relationships with at least six women over the span of three years.</p>
<p>“Today I am announcing my resignation … so my colleagues can get back to work, my neighbors can choose a new representative, and most importantly, that my wife and I can continue to heal from the damage that I’ve caused,” he said in a press conference.</p>
