Just after 7:45 p.m. on Friday night, March 18, the Texas Department of Public Safety officially discontinued the statewide Amber Alert for a missing teenager after her body was discovered.

Police had been searching for 14-year-old Adriana Coronado for almost a week after her father had been found murdered in Walker County.

According to ABC 13 in Houston, Coronado's decomposed body was found Wednesday in West Houston by a gardener. Coronado had apparently died of multiple gunshot wounds. Fingerprints were used to identify the body.

A murder investigation is now underway for both Adriana Coronado and her father Caesar Coronado.
