This is the most minor league thing to ever happen at a minor league baseball game.

Thursday's New York-Penn League game between the Batavia Muckdogs and State College Spikes was interrupted by a sheep that got into the outfield.

Good thing it wasn't a goat. You don't want to be a goat on a baseball field. Just ask Steve Bartman.

The sheep (maybe he could've gotten some fielding tips from Jarrod Dyson?) was at the field as part of a promotion involving a monkey between innings that may have been the most minor league thing to ever happen at a minor league game before the sheep found a way to break free and hang out in the field during live play.

The sheep certainly didn't hit the fan -- or any fan, for that matter. It was corralled and removed rather quickly. The incident may have also been one of the highlights of the nights in an otherwise ugly game. The Spikes cruised to a 15-3 victory.
