SFA Lumberjack shortstop Hunter Dozier is not only one of the best baseball players in the Southland Conference, he's one of the best baseball players in the country, and it would seem that the Kansas City Royals think so as well.  Hunter Dozier became the highest drafted SFA player in history when the Royals made the call.  He batted .396 on the year, while driving in 52 and hitting 17 homers.

A few 'MLB draft experts' had Dozier pegged as a top 35 pick, but going number 8 overall is a huge testament to his ability and the numbers he has put up this year.

Congrats to Hunter Dozier...just remember to give the Axe 'em sign when you hit the homers in the big leagues.
