The Lufkin Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for help in identifying a man who has been named a suspect in the Walmart chip aisle fire.

An employee said that she saw the suspect described as a black male wearing gray pants and a long sleeve T-shirt walk into the store angrily after arguing with another customer over a parking spot outside the store. The employee said the suspect was driving a “blueish” Chrysler 300.

She said the man entered the store cussing and yelling about the parking lot incident. The suspect was seen leaving the chip aisle roughly 30 seconds before the fire began.

If anyone can identify this man, call the Lufkin Fire Marshal’s Office at 936-633-0307 or Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.
