In a story that sounds like the plot of the movie Fatal Attraction, Houston Police have filed felony stalking charges against a woman who threatened her former boyfriend on the phone more than a thousand times and sent him more than 700 threatening e-mails -- all in the span of three months.

Houston Police say 49 year old Toni Jo Silvey is still reeling from breaking up with her boyfriend, Houston leather artist Peter Main, two years ago.  To say she was "very wounded" by the breakup would be a major understatement.

In June, Silvey started a blog that described the breakdown of their relationship and her own post-breakup bad behavior in excruciating detail. She called him names and posted rambling rants about his relationship with a younger woman.

Police say she broke several windows of his home, first with a tire iron, and then with a 5-foot sword. She's also accused of egging his house on several occasions, and posting Facebook pictures of herself bragging about it.

Main says he dated Silvey briefly in 2009, but didn't say why they stopped dating.  He says, up to now, he's hesitated to file charges against her because he was afraid it would make her even more angry at him.

But not any more.  Silvey was arrested Tuesday and she's in jail charged with felony stalking under $25,000 bond.

Silvey is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, but if even a few of the charges are true this is one very bitter and disturbed lady. Things like this don't usually end well, and she's lucky to be in jail now.  Maybe she'll finally get the professional help she clearly needs.
