Three men were arrested in Marshall over the weekend for racing their riding lawn mowers in a city park. It wasn’t the “racing” that got them in trouble. It was the “mud hogging”, and the damage they caused that sent them to the pokey.
A Marshall Police spokeswoman says 42 year old James Edward Brown, 18 year old Christopher Scott Call. and 19 year old Scott Desalvo were arrested Sunday afternoon after tearing up several sections of grass at the city park in Marshall.
The spokeswoman says the three were racing their riding mowers through the mud in the park when a passerby reported them to police.
Their “racing” caused thousands of dollars in damage to the park’s landscape. The men were charged with criminal mischief, and all are now free on bond.
