Did Newt Gingrich Fall Asleep Live on Camera?

The pace at which the Republican presidential race is going, it’s surely going take a toll on the various candidates. Lack of sleep being one. Case in point, Newt Gingrich, who dozed off in front of the camera during the live streaming at the AIPAC conference.
If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, after Gingrich addressed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee audience with a speech, the Republican said he was “ready to take questions from the panel.” Problem was, the AIPAC host had to remind the former speaker of the House of Representatives, in front of everyone present, that there was no panel. Awk-ward.
Being the politician that he is, Gingrich quickly saved face by pandering to the seated audience about the threats of radical Islam and how he would move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem if he were elected President. Alas, the damage had been done. You just know the staff at ‘SNL‘ just got an idea for a sketch for their next episode.
