Former Navy SEAL Honors Fallen Comrade With Touching Gesture

In one of the most poignant ways of honoring a fallen comrade we’ve ever seen, former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell recently went to a Newtown, CT, pub and offered to pay the owner enough money to buy a random person a pint of Guinness every hour for the entire day.

If anyone asked where the drink came from, Luttrell said, the owner was to inform them it was courtesy of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who saved Luttrell by sacrificing himself during a 2005 attack by Taliban forces in Afghanistan.

According to Luttrell’s Facebook page, the owner was greatly impressed by his touching tribute. “The owner/manager was so in tune with this small gesture, he refused my money, introduced me to two men working  in the PUB who had just returned home from Afghanistan and Iraq with the ASSURANCE that my request on Michael’s behalf would be honored. God bless America!” Luttrell wrote.

Seeing as how this comes on the heels of the video of the military dad who surprised his son by dressing up as Captain America, we can safely say we need some tissues.
