Nacogdoches County Jail Inmate Found Dead

Police reports show Rickey Flanagan was arrested Friday night for DUI and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail around 6:00pm, and at 6:15pm he was found unresponsive in his cell after apparently hanging himself. 

KTRE reports jail staff members performed CPR right away, but Flanagan was pronounced dead after paramedics took him to Nacogdoches Memorial hospital. 

The investigation has begun, and Flanagan's body has been taken to Tyler for an autopsy.  We should know more in the coming days about what exactly led to Flanagan's death.
