The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Second Friday Luncheon is set for December 11th from noon to 1 at Austin Hall, 4603 North Street. 

A large crowd is expected as an update on the return of the Fredonia Hotel and Convention Center will be presented. John McLaren, General Manager of the hotel, will present "Fredonia Hotel Economic Impact and Employment Outlook."

McLaren is originally from Dallas where he began a career in hotels and restaurants more than 25 years ago. He was first employed with The Stoneleigh Hotel, an independent historic hotel built in 1923. The majority of his experience was with several Crowne Plaza hotels as well as Marriott and Hilton properties in the DFW area. He moved to Nacogdoches about seven years ago where he managed the Hampton Inn & Suites and Comfort Suites properties.
