Wednesday morning, a man was arrested in downtown Dallas, Texas, after ramming his truck into the Fox 4 television news station.

According to a report by Fox 4 News in Dallas, the man was a middle-aged white male who began ranting after he crashed a silver truck multiple times into the glass windows of the TV station at around 6 a.m. Fortunately, no one was injured in the initial onslaught, but Dallas police found a suspicious duffel bag at the scene that the man had left behind.

Believing the bag could contain an explosive device, FOX 4 news anchor Hanna Battah, in a live video posted to Facebook, said that police evacuated the news building and blocked off several streets until a bomb squad could arrive at the scene to investigate.

The suspect in the incident has since been identified as 34-year-old Michael Chadwick Fry. This isn’t the first time he’s been arrested. Fry has past convictions in Denton County that include assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and burglary.

Regarding the suspect now in custody, Battah said: "...he was apparently screaming about some injustice, saying there was some sort of conspiracy. He made it sound like someone had been killed and he was seeking justice, wanting the media’s help at first...when police took him, when they took him into custody, a photographer said that they saw them actually loading him onto an ambulance."

Fry reportedly left multiple cardboard boxes at the scene that contained hundreds of flyers that he had made himself. Dallas police have not yet determined a specific motive for the assault, but say that the man’s ramblings may be connected to an unspecified officer-involved shooting.

Regardless, police say that Fry will be charged with criminal mischief.
