Thursday morning, a Lufkin woman was arrested at her home and charged with delivery and possession of a controlled substance.

The Lufkin Police Report spells out the details of the arrest:

"Officers arrested a woman accused of dealing crack cocaine after running a raid on her North Lufkin home this morning.
LaShunda Williams AKA “Shanna May,” 31, was taken into custody on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance following the raid on her home at 1204 Keltys Street.
The Special Response Team entered Williams’ house first, clearing it for the Street Crimes Unit. Detectives found crack rocks and plastic baggies of cocaine during their search.
Multiple phone calls from concerned citizens about possible drug activity at Williams’ home launched an investigation by the department’s Street Crimes Unit, according to Sgt. Travis Strickland, who supervises the Special Services Division.
“The citizens of Lufkin are the eyes and ears of the community,” Strickland said. “If you suspect narcotics trafficking or any other illegal activities going on in your neighborhood, call the department.”
The department’s non-emergency number is 633-0356. Tips can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 639-TIPS or online at detcs.tips. If the information provided leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment, citizens may be paid a reward."
