Lufkin Man Arrested After Odd Behavior that Involved a Gas Cap
The latest issue of the Lufkin Police blotter includes the arrest of a man that exhibited very odd behavior which included a vehicle gas cap.
According to the report, Terrance Washington, 31, was arrested on drug charges and public intoxication after an officer was called to a parking lot on North First Street for a person lying in the middle of a parking lot, not moving.
When officers arrived, they found Washington asleep on the ground with his vehicle still running a few yards away. After waking Washington, the man, who smelled strongly of alcohol, went over and began hitting his vehicle gas cap. When officers asked what he was doing, he said he was closing out the register. (insert your very own imaginary emoji here).
Washington was then taken into custody and found in possession of cocaine and a straw used for snorting cocaine.
