A Lufkin landmark, Fullers Buffet, caught fire and burned today (Feb. 18th).  Fullers Buffet had been a Lufkin institution for many years, serving homestyle food to East Texans.  The fire began sometime after 2pm when the restaurant had closed for the day.

The initial call came in at approximately 2:55pm this afternoon, and Lufkin Fire, Police, and EMS were on the scene within ten minutes.  The fire appeared to have started in the attic portion of the building; Townsquare Media representatives spoke with a person connected to Fullers who said this was a possibility, but couldn't confirm.

We will update this story with more information as we get it.
