Today after finally leaving the station for lunch there was a vehicle going the wrong way down Timberland Dr. Traffic was backed up a bit as first responders arrive on the scene to render aid.

On Thursday February 16th at approximately 1:45 PM there were reports of a vehicle stopped in traffic at the corner of Denman Ave. and Timberland Drive. The driver slumped over the wheel.  Lufkin Fire and EMS arrived on the scene to find the 2008 (Estimated year) Blue Nissan Maxima facing on coming traffic. From the wrong side of the road, you can see as Lufkin EMS start an IV and deliver fluids to the driver.

The name of the individual hasn't been released, and the patient was taken to a local area hospital for further evaluation and care.

Thanks to concerned citizens, she got the help she needed. There were more than 2 or three around the vehicle. Once they saw she was being cared for they all slowly dispersed. It's nice to live in a town, that no matter what, people will help you out if you get in a bad situation.
