Next Saturday, December 17th, volunteers will get together to lay wreaths on the graves of veterans across the country, and several East Texas cemeteries will be part of it. Here's how you can volunteer.

Wreaths Across America happens every year, and it starts at the Arlington National Cemetery and moves across the country.  There are more than 1100 cemeteries participating this year.  What a beautiful way to decorate and honor these heroes at the holidays.

Garden of Memories Memorial Park will be part of the Wreaths Across America event on Saturday, Dec. 17th. Gravel Ridge Settlers Cemetery outside of Nacogdoches has 54 veterans' graves to decorate that day.  Sponsors will pay $15 for each evergreen wreath that decorates a grave site.  They'll have a short ceremony before the wreath-laying, and anyone can attend, and then help put the wreaths on graves too.
