If your kids want to try new things, get social, play unconventional sports, or simply love the magical world of Harry Potter, you won't want to miss this upcoming event.

The SFA Lumberjack Quidditch team is hosting a special fundraiser this Saturday (Feb. 27) which will allow folks to bring their kids out to play the "Muggle version" of Quidditch!

The "Kidditch" event starts at 12 noon, so show up a bit earlier to register your little ones.

For those of you who don't know, Quidditch is a "once fictional" sport created by author, J.K. Rowling, in her wildly popular "Harry Potter" books.

Typically, witches and wizards would be flying high into the sky to try to score points, avoid possessed obstacles, and attempt to catch a pesky little golden ball, called the snitch. There's actually a lot more to it, and muggles (non-magic folk) play it a little differently,  but we'll leave the details to the pros in the Lumberjack Quidditch Sport Club.

The registration fees will help to fund trips to tournaments, (Yes, other schools play Quidditch competitively), equipment so SFA can host their own tournaments, and money to make merchandise for their club.

Again, it's all happening on Saturday, Feb. 27th from 12 PM - 2 PM at Pecan Park in Nacogdoches.

You can register your little ones on-site for $5 each, or $15 for a group of 4.
