If you played kickball in phys ed classes in elementary school, you might be wondering why we can't keep that going now that we're adults. We can!  The Lufkin Parks and Rec Department is making your wish come true.

In fact, the first kickball league games started last night at Kit McConnico Park in Lufkin. There are eight teams in the league and they are part of two games each Tuesday night.  Then there will be a playoff that happens after the regular season, for bragging rights.

The coolest thing about kick ball is, you don't have to be a super great athlete to have fun and make an impact on your team.  Just kick that squishy ball!

This won't be the only kickball season.  The Lufkin Parks and Rec Department is planning another season this fall, and they say on their Facebook page it's only $30 to register and that includes a jersey.  Registration is open through September 6th.

Have fun!
