Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from a tropic port aboard this tiny ship.  OK, it's not "The Minnow" that made Gilligan's Island famous, but she is a tiny ship and she's been parked next to the Jack in the Box on 69-South at Denman Avenue for longer than anybody can remember. She may as well be on a desert island.

Nobody knows how the boat got there or how long she's been there. She's in the news because a Denny's Restaurant is now going up on that lot, which is now a construction site, and nobody knows what's going to happen to the boat.

Some people don't want her to be demolished or even moved, so they've named her "The Lady of Lufkin" and launched a Facebook campaign to keep her where she is or move her somewhere else.

Some suggest integrating the boat into the new Denny's in some way.  They say maybe she can be preserved and parked outside the front door.  Or they could decorate it with lights during the holidays.

Any more ideas?  The floor is open on Facebook.
