I heard Kidd Kraddick talking about this story this morning on my way to work, and my heart hurt for the woman they were talking about.

After watching this video, I am infuriated by the kids’ actions and in total shock that our youth can be so hurtful and ruthless. When I was younger, my friends and I respected adults because they were the authority figure. Now, kids don’t think the rules apply to them, and they’re not afraid of adults. I blame this on the parents and their parenting skills.Karen Klein, a 68-year old bus monitor in Greece, New York, is seen being verbally abused by middle school kids in a 10 minute video, which was posted on YouTube on Monday by a student on the bus.

The video has received almost 2 million views already, and it’s definitely not getting ignored!

Strangers from all over the world are donating money to send her on a vacation and get her away from her tormentors. So far (as of 10:00 a.m.), the community fundraiser has raised over $170,556! I hope she can just take that money and quit her job – no person deserves to be treated that way.

Klein will be on Anderson Cooper’s AC360 tonight on CNN at 7:00 p.m. (CT) to talk about the abuse she endured.
