Whether you are out of a job, or looking to change jobs, you'll get a chance to meet people who can do either of those things for you at the first Forest Country Job Fair Tuesday May 22nd at Angelina College.  Job hunters will find more than 800 jobs of all kinds in a wide variety of businesses and trades.

The job fair is sponsored by the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, which has arranged to have people representing 36 companies and businesses on hand to meet and interview job seekers.

Chamber spokeswoman Melinda Sullivan says a job fair is a perfect way to bring employers together with people looking for work, so “bring your resumes and get ready to shake hands with your future employer.”

The Forest Country Job Fair is free and open to the public, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Shands Gymnasium at Angelina College.

Here's a link to more information and a list of the companies that will be hiring.

The Chamber of Commerce says depending on how successful the job fair is, the plan is to make it an annual event.  Then again, wouldn't it be great if everybody had a job and they didn't  need to hold job fairs?
