Heavy Rain, Isolated Tornadoes Possible in the Pineywoods This Weekend

This video is from Homer Alto Road near Lufkin during torrential rainfall in November.  Could we be having more scenes like this over the weekend? 

After nearly two weeks of beautiful weather, a cold front should move through East Texas this weekend bringing with it the chance of heavy rain and severe weather.  The rain will be most widespread by Saturday evening and throughout the day on Sunday.  Up to 3 inches of rain could fall across the Pineywoods with isolated higher amounts.

Gusty winds and deadly lightning should be the main severe weather threats, however, tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
