Gohmert Thinks Public Should See Photos of Bin Laden’s Dead Body

East Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert, R-Tyler, has asked to see photos of dead al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden. Gohmert also says the photos should be made public.

Gohmert says he understands the arguments for and against releasing the photos, but he thinks “Americans are adult enough” to see the photos, no matter how grisly they may be.

Gohmert says “We watched people jump from the towers to avoid being burned death. Does (the president) think that seeing photos of bin Laden dead would be worse than seeing brothers and sisters, Americans, having to jump to their deaths?”

Gohmert says the photos should be available to anyone who wants to see them.

This is not a partisan issue.  Republicans and Democrats are demanding release of the photos, saying they won’t believe bin Laden is dead until they see them with their own eyes.
