Houston-area Liberty High is hoping to have the hogs trapped before the season starts.

Click2Houston.com talked to Chad Taylor, athletic director of Liberty High School. He said the hogs are the biggest school rival now after they've left six-foot ruts on the field.

"We definitely don't want our students to be out here and a pack of hogs come after them, because, you know, they can only run so far," Taylor said.

Authorities say the hogs are coming from the woods behind the school. They have hired a trapping service to catch them. The service estimates a group of 18-20 hogs have consistently been coming out onto the field at night.

Deep South Trapping has installed a high tech system that allows them to watch by camera and send a text to close a gate and possibly capture them all at once.
