So you thought people in this country named their children oddly, with names like "Apple", "Rumer", "Dweezil" and "Moon Unit".  A man in Egypt may have topped them all.

Inspired by the role Facebook played in the recent protests and ultimate overthrow of Egypt's president, the twenty-something man says he felt a need to express his thanks, and he did-so by naming his newborn girl "Facebook  Jamal Ibrahim (his name.)

The Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram reports baby “Facebook” and her mother are doing fine, and they're getting a lot of gifts from family members and friends overjoyed by her arrival and her new name.

The paper says they are also expressing their continuing support for the revolution that started on Facebook.
