East Texas Teams Ready for Round Three Match Ups
The Regional Quarterfinals Round of Texas High School Girl's Basketball is here and many area teams are represented.
One of the premiere match-ups will feature two of the best teams in Class 5A. The 7th ranked Lufkin Lady Pack will take on 15th ranked Mansfield Summit on Monday at Buffalo High School. The winner of that game will advance to take on the winner of the West Mesquite/Prosper game.
The most well-attended game award for round 3 of the playoffs may go to the showdown between district foes Chireno and Douglass, which will be played in Woden Tuesday night at 8. Chireno took the top spot in District 28-A, while Douglass claimed 3rd. The Lady Owls have tasted victory over the Lady Indians twice this season, however, whoever wins this 3rd showdown of the season will advance to take on the winner of the McMullen County/Leakey game.
