East Texas Man Dies in Parachute Accident

It was a parachuting adventure that went horribly wrong over the weekend, that claimed the life of an East Texas man.

A technology executive that had just moved from Austin to the Zavalla area, died after his backup parachute didn’t open.

36-year old Miguel Carrasco cut away from the primary parachute, according to CNN, and the secondary parachute didn’t deploy. ┬áThe accident happened at Skydive Spaceland in Rosharon.

According to KTRK, Carrasco was an experienced skydiver and was on his fourth jump of the day when the parachute went down.
