Chris Brown has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, according to ABC. The arrest happened after police searched his house for hours following a 911 call they got from a girl who'd been visiting his home.

In an interview with TMZ, the girl, named Baylee Curran, said she was at Chris' house around 3 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 30) morning when she saw a diamond cross necklace and went to admire it. She says Chris and others in the house started yelling at her and Brown then allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at her, telling her to get out. According to Curran, she ran outside to call the police, but Chris and friends wouldn't let her until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. She refused and "made a run for it" anyway, calling authorities.

Police pulled up to Brown's house Tuesday morning to conduct an investigation and were there all day. After waiting for a search warrant to be issued, they served the warrant and searched the house, escorting Brown's guests out. All of them will be interviewed about what happened.

Brown came out of his house to talk to police around 2:30 p.m. EST, and at around 5:00 p.m. the LAPD announced he was being booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

Police would not comment on whether a gun was found in Brown's house. TMZ, however, reported earlier today that Brown threw a duffel bag out the window of his house which contained weapons and drugs.

Some people on social media are questioning Curran's account of what happened. In one interview, she says she touched the jewelry in Brown's home, but in another, she insists she didn't. Watch both clips below.
