New Theory: CO2 Makes You Fat

Don't laugh. This is serious stuff.  Researchers in Denmark have announced a theory that may not only explain why people all over the world are getting fatter and fatter, but it could also serve as a warning of serious consequences for life on Earth if pollution caused by CO2 emissions isn't reduced.

The theory states that CO2 -- carbon dioxide -- contributes to making us fat.  Oh please.

Brit Schools Ban Kids Having Best Friends

It's true.  Some schools in Great Britain have adopted rules against children having a "best friend."   The school officials say the goal is to keep children from getting upset if and when their best friend fails or drops out of school.

Pupils are instead taught and encouraged to play in large groups.

Russia Will Finally Send Men to the Moon

It's reported that Russia is planning to send a team of cosmonauts to the Moon by the year 2030, which would be more than 60 years after America's Apollo 11 mission effectively signaled the end of the US-Soviet space race.

Scientists in Russia and Korea say they believe they can clone a prehistoric creature that became extinct at least ten thousand years ago. And they've signed an agreement to try.

Asteroid Coming Toward Earth – What to do??

Forget about that Mayan Doomsday prophecy -- the one that says the world will come an end this December.  Not very many credible people take that one seriously.

But a lot of people with credible credentials say an asteroid will come close to Earth next February, and it should be taken very seriously because it could hit the Earth.
