Weather Could Be Messy This Weekend

I hope you strung up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house last weekend, because this will not be the weekend to do it!  Unless of course you like getting pelted in the face with rain and a ball of sleet while you're up there on the ladder.

We'll avoid the worst of the wintry weather that's about to hit Texas, but the National Weather Service says we'll have the chance of freezing rain by Saturday night.

US 59 Still Impacted Today By Fatal Accident

One person died Monday in an accident on US 59 involving two 18-Wheelers and a school bus.

The road was still closed Tuesday morning because of the cleanup and investigation, and detours were set up.

The Lufkin School District says three children and the driver were the only ones on board the bus at the time, and none of them needed treatment for anything other than minor injuries.

Today is one of the biggest travel days of the year, and state police are out in force making sure everyone is buckled up and not drinking and driving.

National Site Notices Austin

Austin is a pretty cool city.  Most of us have spent quite a bit of time there, or at the very least we've visited Town Lake and seen the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue.

State Plans to Build New Bridge in Nacogdoches County

When we see the orange traffic cones go up, we know they'll slow us down and life might be easier, quicker, and smoother without them there.  But it's always worth it in the end.

The state of Texas has announced work is planned on County Road 706 in Nacogdoches County.
