Texas Church Reaches Out to Muslims

The NorthWood Baptist Church in the Fort Worth suburb of Keller used the 10th anniversary of 9-11 to reach out to Muslims and invite them to church for a friendly visit.

The church worked with the Islamic Association of North Texas to get the word out in the Muslim community, and while some people were skeptical, it proved to be a huge success.

More than 1,500 Muslims and 1,000 Christians crowded into the church for the event.

Apocalypse Preacher Harold Camping Recovering from Stroke

Harold Camping, the preacher who famously predicted the apocalypse would happen in May, has been moved to a nursing home to regain his strength after suffering a stroke on June 9.

Camping, 89, has twice predicted the rapture -- first in 1994 and again this past May 21. To get the word out, he and his followers spent millions over seven years on billboards and ads about the impending Judgment Day and the end of the world that will supposedly occur in October.
