Nobody likes the way bill collectors do their business.  They call debtors at all hours of day and night at home and at work, but one collector may have gone too far with one debtor in San Antonio.  It got them sued.

It's true.  The Austin American-Statesman reports the total population of the state's 111 prisons is now 154,000 — down 2,500 from two years ago when it was 156,500, give or take.

Police confirm two people have died after today’s shooting near the Texas A&M campus. KBTX reports the gunman is in custody.

It's reported that former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, retired astronaut Mark Kelly, have decided to move back to Arizona.  This comes a year and a half after she moved to Houston for intensive physical and speech therapy after a gunman shot her in the head at a public event in Tuscon.
