Last week, Soldado director Stefano Sollima was in negotiations to direct Activision’s Call of Duty live action movie. This week, Sollima already knows who his dream cast would be: He wants a This Means War reunion.

While speaking to Metro at the launch of his short film for Campari, The Legend of Red Hand, Sollima said that both Tom Hardy and Chris Pine were at the top of his list. He said he was excited for Tom Hardy’s Venom movie and loved him in Mad Max: Fury Road, and that he liked how Pine was able to switch between comedy and drama and be equally good in both: “I like when you feel that an actor can play with different nuances and tone because this means they’re a good actor.”

Hardy has played soldiers before in both Band of Brothers and Black Hawk Down, and Pine has been a member of Starfleet in the new Star Trek movies. The two previously starred together in This Means War, a rom-com about two secret agents who both fall for the same girl (played by Reese Witherspoon) and decide to both date her at the same time without revealing that they know each other. Hijinks ensue, which lead to three alternate endings, one in which Pine gets the girl, one in which Hardy does, and one in which they realize their friendship is more important. The Call of Duty movie probably won’t be too much like this, but the two actors have already proved that they work pretty well together. Nothing official has been announced yet, but now we know where the potential director’s head is on the project.
