An Angelina County Commissioner Has Died

Angelina County Commissioner, Rick Harrison, has died.

Harrison Represented Precinct 1, and is pictured here in the back row on the right side.

Harrison had been battling health issues, and passed away this week at a Houston hospital at the age of 56.

Harrison had been the County Commissioner for precinct one for the past 12 years, and before that he was with the Lufkin Police Department for twenty-three years.

A public funeral will be held this Saturday at 2p.m. at Kelty’s First Baptist Church in Lufkin. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carroway’s Funeral home in Lufkin.
