If you don't mind the drive, one big Texas zoo is letting teachers in free for the rest of the month, and friends that go along can get big discounts too.  Road trip!

San Antonio Zoo is offering free admission for teachers for the month of February, and that applies to all teachers, pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade at public or private schools.  Teachers just have to take an ID and pay stub or a teaching certificate, to earn the free admission.

And friends who tag along can get in for half price.  That deal is good for four friends.

San Antonio Zoo says on its Facebook page that it's celebrating Educator's Awareness Month, and any teachers from around Texas can take advantage of the offer, except for homeschool teachers and university professors.

No pressure, Ellen Trout Zoo, but this would be a really fun way to honor our local teachers, AND make those four friends really happy! In addition to a well-deserved break, these teachers just might have some new gorilla observations to share with their classes.  Another good idea Texas, nice work.
