The college football bowl season (also known as cozy-pants-and recliner-season) starts this Saturday, and Texas is hosting nine of these big games over the next three weeks.  There are four Texas teams playing in bowl games this year.

Texas has an abundance of huge stadiums that make great host sites for college bowl games, and we're typically a warm-weather state which draws fans who want a vacation when they travel to see their teams play.

These are the Texas sites hosting bowl games this season, along with the broadcast info so you can watch from your recliner instead of making the road trip if you'd like.

Frisco Bowl

Alamo Bowl

Cotton Bowl

Sun Bowl
TEAMS: Pittsburgh vs. Stanford, Dec. 31, 1 p.m. CST (CBS)
LOCATION: El Paso

In D2:

The Corsicana Bowl was held at Tiger Stadium in Corsicana on December 1 between Emporia State and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.  Emporia State won the game 30-22.

The Heart of Texas Bowl was also held December 1 at Waco ISD Stadium between  The Angelo State University Rams and the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos.  UCO beat ASU 41 to 34.

New Mexico Bowl

Sugar Bowl
