This story broke out on ABC 13 News Now where a St. Louis woman lost 120 lbs from walking in her small apartment and making healthier choices.

At 86 years old, Jessica Slaughter is down to a size 4 from being a size 22 most her life. You can catch the whole interview here.

What gets me is that Jessica is able to walk back and forth in her small apartment, and gets at least 3,000 steps a day. Some people I know buy bulky treadmills that end up becoming very expensive towel racks.

She also decided to quit meat ... which is something I personally could never and would never do. If someone is able to try the walking thing, but without becoming vegan, I'd like to see those results.

If you have a strong enough will to do it, walking indoors is the safest way to go about it. Plus, you have no excuses when the weather gets bad.

Let us know what you think of Jessica's story, or share it to inspire others struggling to keep their New Year's resolutions.
